Production

Marquetry is produced in a similar fashion to assembling a puzzle.

We take the digital files that were produced in the initial design and proof phase of the project, and break out the individual components of the design. Those components (puzzle pieces) are then laser cut from the materials specified.

We then assemble those parts into the marquetry facing using our custom built assembly stations.

The completed marquetry overlay is assembled on the face with paper tape with a water soluble adhesive. This marquetry skin is typically 1/42" Thick.

At this point the marquetry work is complete.
